Complete Hitter Program Description
Andy Trevino’s Complete Hitter Program changes the role of instructor from “problem solver” to “developer” as students learn a broad and comprehensive set of physical, mental and strategic skills. Weekly consistent lessons over an extended period of time allows the instructor to provide more advanced in depth instruction with an eye towards ongoing development. This program will maximize a hitters skills and help them reach their potential.
Initial focus will be on breaking down the swing and teaching proper mechanics. Tee work, explanation, and demonstration will be utilized as well as drills targeting the students weaknesses. Having a great swing is the foundation for success.
After mechanics are learned, focus will be teaching proper contact points and ball exit paths for all pitches in all locations. Live pitching will be incorporated as needed.
Teaching the mental skills is a critical part of this program. This includes relaxation techniques, controlling stress, positive thinking and other mental concepts. The student will learn to have a plan at the plate which focuses on proper pitch selection and increases the odds of getting a good pitch.
